As a crime writer, nothing is more frustrating while doing research on the internet and not receiving an answer. And after months of agony, I’d come to the understanding that there are at least two reasons for the return of zero results.
1. You didn’t type in the correct keywords
2. The subject you’re looking for is not listed.
After all the chaos had settled, Joe Giacalone and I figured there had to be a way to make it easier for writers to conduct the research they needed and obtain the necessary information.
The CWP community was created to give authors access to professionals who can provide the answers they’re seeking.
When you put it all together, you have this core group of people ranging from law enforcement to forensic experts who are willing to take the time and reply to questions from journalists, investigators, lawyers and crime writers.
